Shooting Incident in Old Fourth Ward Leaves Woman Critically Injured
On May 24th, 2024, at approximately 9:22 PM, Atlanta police officers responded to a shooting at 398 Parkway Drive NE in the Old Fourth Ward area. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 34-year-old woman with multiple gunshot wounds. The woman was transported to a hospital and is in critical condition.
A possible suspect has been detained by the responding officers. Investigators from the Aggravated Assault Unit are on the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
