Atlanta Police Investigate Double Shooting Incident on 8th St NW

On Thursday, May 23, 2024, Atlanta Police Zone 5 officers rushed to 95 8th St NW following reports of a shooting at approximately 11:14 p.m.

On arrival, they found a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was swiftly taken to a nearby hospital by EMS in stable condition.

Shortly after, Zone 2 officers were called to the same hospital where another man, who had also been shot at the same location, had self-transported. He was alert and breathing.

Investigative teams are now working to piece together what happened. In the meantime, two individuals have been taken into custody for unrelated incidents.
