12-Year-Old Boy Shot on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive

On Friday, May 17th, 2024, at around 6:06 PM, Atlanta Police officers rushed to Martin Luther King Junior Drive NW and Hamilton E. Holmes Drive NW after reports of a shooting. They found a 12-year-old boy with gunshot wounds to his abdomen and arm. Despite his injuries, he was conscious and breathing. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The incident is believed to have taken place at 2201 Martin Luther King Junior Drive NW.

Investigators from the Aggravated Assault Unit are looking into the matter, but details remain under investigation.
