Two Juvenile Home Burglars Arrested by Cordele Police

Early morning on May 14th, at approximately 4:30 am, Cordele Police responded to reports of a burglary in progress at the 500 block of N 2nd St. Two individuals were spotted attempting to break into a nearby residence and a vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers found an open window and an air conditioner on the ground, indicating a break-in. Inside, they discovered two 15-year-old males hiding in a closet with large screwdrivers and a multitool. The homeowner wasn’t present.

The juveniles were charged with Burglary 1st Degree and Possession of Tools for the Commission of a Crime. They were taken to a youth detention facility in Savannah by the Department of Juvenile Justice.
