Fatal Shooting at Lawrenceville Apartment Complex, Suspect Turns Himself In
Gwinnett County Police Officers responded to a fatal shooting on May 5, 2024, at Herrington Mill Apartments in unincorporated Lawrenceville. Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators arrived at 1564 Herrington Road to investigate the incident, which occurred around 10:20 pm.
The victim, 20-year-old Timothy Henderson, a resident of the apartment complex, was identified. Detectives determined that the shooting resulted from a robbery shortly before the incident.
Authorities have identified 19-year-old Raheem Whiteside of Dacula as the shooter. Arrest warrants have been issued for Whiteside for charges including Malice Murder, Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of Certain Felonies.
On May 9, Raheem Whiteside turned himself in at the Gwinnett County Jail.
