Fatal Wrong-Way Crash on I-75/85 NB Expressway

On May 13, 2024, at approximately 2:35 a.m., Atlanta Police Zone 5 Officers were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of I-75/85 NB Expressway and 10th St NW. Upon their arrival, officers found two individuals injured due to a collision.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were immediately dispatched to the location, transporting both individuals to the hospital for urgent medical care. One of the parties involved succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the crash was caused by a wrong-way driver. Investigators responded to the location to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
