Chatham County Police Seek Woman Suspected of Setting Apartment Fire

The Chatham County Police Department is on the lookout for a woman believed to be responsible for setting an apartment building ablaze on May 9th.

Authorities are actively seeking 20-year-old Sharmaine Danasia Monique Loury in connection with the incident. Loury is alleged to have ignited a fire during a domestic altercation at an apartment complex situated in the 2500 block of Oak Forrest Road in the early hours of May 9, 2024. As a result of the fire, one man suffered injuries that are not considered life-threatening, and four apartment units were affected.

Arrest warrants have been issued for Loury’s apprehension. Individuals with any information regarding her whereabouts are urged to reach out to law enforcement.
