Gwinnett County Police Seek Woman Wanted for Jewelry Theft

The Gwinnett County Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a woman wanted for theft of jewelry worth $3,200 from a local retail store in unincorporated Lawrenceville.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on March 4, 2024, at the Jewelry Box store situated at 5900 Sugarloaf Parkway. The suspect, identified as Audrina Victoria Smith, aged 29 and from Maryland, entered the store and expressed interest in trying on jewelry pieces.

While interacting with the store clerk, Smith tried on a Rolex necklace. Upon removing it, the clerk placed it on the counter. However, surveillance footage revealed that Smith concealed the necklace underneath her wallet and left the store without making a purchase.

Detectives investigating the case were able to determine that Smith arrived and departed in a red Mazda passenger car with a temporary Missouri license plate, thanks to footage from Flock cameras.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Smith on charges of felony Theft by Shoplifting.
