Shooting in Macon Leaves Woman In Critical Condition

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred early Saturday morning at a residence in the 3400 block of Mary Drive. The incident, reported to the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center at 1:53 a.m., prompted deputies to respond to the area after receiving a ShotSpotter alert and a report of a person down.

Upon arrival, deputies found a 56-year-old woman with a gunshot wound. Paramedics rushed her to a medical facility, where she is currently in critical but stable condition. No one else was injured during the incident.
