Macon Man Charged with Murder in Connection to Fentanyl Overdose Death

A Macon man has been charged with Murder in connection to the April 25, 2024, death of 34-year-old Joshua Owen Negri, according to Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators. Negri died as a result of a drug overdose, specifically Fentanyl.

Travion Lorenzo Veal, 29, of Macon, was identified as the suspect by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, Special Investigations Unit. Veal was already in the Bibb County jail on charges of Possession of Controlled Substance. He is being held without bond.
