Clayton County Police Seize Drugs, Guns, and Cash in Atlanta Raid

On Friday, March 15, 2024, the Clayton County SWAT Team and the Clayton County Narcotics Unit conducted a search at a residence in Atlanta, GA, as part of an ongoing investigation by the Narcotics Unit. The operation resulted in four felony arrests and the seizure of a significant quantity of illegal substances, cash, and firearms.

Items confiscated during the operation included 58.91 pounds of Psilocybin (Mushrooms), believed to have been cultivated on-site, 399 grams of Marijuana, three firearms (a Taurus Revolver, Winchester Rifle, and Romarm-Cugir Draco), a substantial sum of US currency, four Oxycodone pills, and 15.62 grams of MDMA.

Major Francisco Romero, head of the Special Operations Division of the Clayton County Police Department, provided details of the operation. Upon arrival at the residence, officers encountered two individuals exhibiting signs of intoxication, while others present were cooperative. One suspect attempted to flee but was apprehended.

The house had gained notoriety within the community for suspected illicit activities, prompting law enforcement to initiate an investigation based on tips received.
