Altercation Involving Child Leads to Shooting, Man Wounded Identified as Aggressor
On April 26th, 2024, at around 11:11 PM, police responded to a shooting incident at 1469 Campbellton Road SW in the Venetian Hills area.
Upon arrival, they found a 32-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso. Despite his injuries, the man was conscious and breathing. He was taken to the hospital for medical attention.
Initial investigations suggest that the wounded man was the primary instigator in the altercation. Members of the Aggravated Assault Unit were dispatched to the scene to aid in the inquiry. Following their investigation, the 32-year-old man was charged with Possession of a Firearm By a Convicted Felon and Cruelty to Children (3rd Degree).
After receiving medical clearance, the man will be transported to the Fulton County Jail to await further legal proceedings.
