15-Year-Old Charged in Fatal Shooting at Fitzgerald After-Prom Party
A 15-year-old has been arrested and charged by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) in connection with a shooting incident at an after-prom party in Fitzgerald, GA.
The minor is accused of shooting four individuals, resulting in the death of 15-year-old Chyell Paulk and injuries to a 19-year-old and two other minors. The suspect faces charges including one count of felony murder, three counts of aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
The Fitzgerald Police Department requested the GBI’s assistance after responding to reports of a shooting on East Pine Street around 1:10 a.m. All victims, residents of Ben Hill County, were transported to a local hospital for treatment, where Paulk was pronounced dead.
The investigation is ongoing.
