Teen Injured in Cordele Shooting, Suspect Detained
On April 24th, 2024, at around 1:40 PM, Cordele Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting at the intersection of 3rd St and 8th 1/2 Alley. Upon arrival, they found a 15-year-old male juvenile wounded by gunfire. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transported him to Crisp Regional Hospital for urgent care.
In their investigation, officers identified a potential suspect residing a few blocks away from the scene. They have detained one adult male pending further inquiries.
