Murder Suspect Arrested in Macon Motel Fatal Shooting Case

On April 16, 2024, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit and U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested a suspect linked to the fatal shooting of 28-year-old Anthonio Dewayne McNeill, which occurred on April 10, 2024, at the Haven Inn Suites on 107 Holiday Drive North.

After an investigation, 36-year-old Lakesia Renee Williams was identified as a suspect in the shooting. Williams was apprehended at the Economy Hotel on 4295 Pio Nono Ave. just before 4:41 p.m. An arrest warrant was served, and Williams was taken into custody and transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. She is charged with Murder and is being held without bond.

The initial incident occurred on April 10, 2024, at the Haven Inn and Suites, where deputies found McNeill suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite medical efforts, McNeill succumbed to his injuries, and Deputy Coroner Richard Robinson pronounced him deceased on the scene.
