Elderly Man Shot in Atlanta’s Pittsburgh Area

On April 16th, 2024, at around 12:34 PM, Atlanta Police officers rushed to 1095 McDaniel Street SW in Atlanta’s Pittsburgh neighborhood following reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, they found a 73-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his right leg. Despite his injury, he was conscious and breathing. Emergency services transported him to the hospital for medical care.
The Aggravated Assault Unit investigators arrived at the scene to piece together what led to the shooting. As of now, the investigation is ongoing.
