Teen Dead in East Columbus Shooting

In the early hours of April 7, 2024, a shooting on Tip Top Drive resulted in the death of a 17-year-old male. Columbus Police Officers were dispatched to the scene following reports of gunfire at 12:24 a.m.

Upon arrival, they found Bryson Cochran, 17, lying in the roadway with gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by EMS personnel, Cochran could not be revived. Deputy Coroner Elizabeth Allison arrived and officially pronounced him deceased at 1:23 a.m.

Additionally, two other victims sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to the hospital. They are reported to be in stable condition.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward.
