18-year-old Male Shot in the Back in Southwest Atlanta

On April 6th, 2024, around 9:50 PM, Atlanta Police officers responded to 3041 Landrum Drive SW in Southwest Atlanta following reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, they found an 18-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his back. Despite his injury, the young man was conscious and alert. He was taken to the hospital for medical attention. However, he did not provide much information to the officers regarding the incident. Investigators from the Aggravated Assault Unit were called in to examine the scene and ascertain what led to the shooting. As of now, the investigation is ongoing, and further details are awaited.
