Cartersville High School Teacher Arrested for Sexual Assault

On Thursday, March 14, 2024, the Cartersville Police Department received a report of a possible inappropriate relationship between a Cartersville High School teacher and a student.

On Tuesday, April 2, 2024, John Paul Snead was arrested and taken into custody by Cartersville Police Investigators.

Snead has been charged with Sexual Assault by Teacher, Engaged in Sexual Contact (Felony). In addition, Snead was charged with Sexual Battery (Misdemeanor). Snead is incarcerated at the Bartow County Jail pending a bond hearing.
