Fatal Collision: Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Poncey-Highland Area of Atlanta
On March 29, 2024, at around 8:30 p.m., Atlanta Police Zone 6 officers rushed to a distress call reporting a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle near N. Highland Ave. NE & John Lewis Freedom Pkwy. NW.
Upon reaching the scene, officers found a 34-year-old woman who had been struck by a vehicle. The injured pedestrian was taken to the hospital in critical condition but passed away due to the severity of her injuries.
The driver involved in the incident stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
