Midtown Robbery Leaves Victim Injured, Suspects at Large

At approximately 3:12 am on March 22, 2024, officers were dispatched to 990 Piedmont Ave NE in Midtown following reports of a pedestrian robbery. Upon their arrival, officers encountered two male victims who reported the incident.

According to preliminary investigations, the victims had been leaving an establishment when they were approached by two armed male suspects. The suspects forcibly took the victims’ cellphones and a set of car keys. During the altercation, one of the suspects struck a victim over the head with a firearm, resulting in minor injuries. The injured victim was transported to Grady Hospital in stable condition.

Following the robbery, both suspects fled the scene on foot. As of now, the investigation into the incident remains active and ongoing.
