Double Shooting Leaves One Dead, One Injured in Gwinnett County

Gwinnett County Police detectives are investigating a double shooting incident that occurred in Duluth, leaving one man dead and another injured.

On March 21 at approximately 7:50 p.m., officers from the Central Precinct responded to a report of a person shot at 2423 Pleasant Lake Village Lane. Upon arrival, they discovered two males with gunshot wounds. Both individuals were rushed to a nearby hospital, where one of them, identified as Faisal Nortey, aged 29 from Atlanta, succumbed to his injuries. The other individual remains in critical condition but is stable.

According to detectives, both parties were present in the apartment, and an altercation ensued between them, resulting in gunfire. Investigations are ongoing to determine the sequence of events and who initiated the shooting, but it is believed that both individuals discharged firearms at each other. No other suspects are currently being sought in connection with the incident.
