Man Wanted for Second-Degree Murder Arrested by U.S. Marshals in Georgia
Gary Everett

On February 23, 2024, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force (SERFTF) and Florida/Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force (FCRFTF), working alongside the West Palm Beach Police Department, successfully apprehended a man wanted for second-degree murder.

Gary Everett, 46, had been sought in connection with the shooting death of an individual discovered on a West Palm Beach street on October 10, 2023. According to authorities, Everett is suspected of fatally shooting the victim in his vehicle, disposing of the body, and fleeing the scene. Everett has a history of arrests and convictions related to assaults, firearms, burglary, and narcotics possession and trafficking.

Following leads, FCRFTF investigators determined that Everett had fled Florida and was likely headed to Georgia. They enlisted the help of SERFTF to track him down. Their efforts led them to believe that Everett was staying with family members in Milledgeville, Georgia, and further investigation pinpointed his location to an apartment complex in the 2300 block of Sherry Circle.

Everett was arrested at the scene and taken to the Baldwin County Jail, where he awaits extradition to Florida.
