Atlanta Police Investigate Shooting in Brookview Heights Area
In the early hours of March 8th, 2024, Atlanta Police officers responded to reports of a person shot at 2911 Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway in the Brookview Heights area. The incident occurred around 2:34 am. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered that the victim had already self-transported to Grady Hospital.
The victim, who had sustained a gunshot wound to the leg, was located at Grady Hospital where units had relocated to speak with them. However, preliminary statements from the victim were found to be conflicting.
Earlier, Zone 4 Units had responded to a call reporting a person shot at 1117 Lee St SW, but upon investigation, no victim was found at that location. Police suspect that the incidents at the two locations may be related, but this cannot be confirmed at the present time as the investigation is ongoing.
