Second Suspect Apprehended in Connection with 2022 Walmart Fatal Shooting

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit and U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force have successfully apprehended a suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of 41-year-old Ronnie Albea. The incident took place on August 5, 2022, at the parking lot of Walmart on 6020 Harrison Road.

Identified as 20-year-old Mycco Vachion Gray, the suspect was served with an arrest warrant just before 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5th, at a residence on the 70 block of Short Street. Gray attempted to flee but was captured after a brief foot pursuit. He has been taken into custody and transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.

Gray faces charges of Murder and Hijacking of a Motor Vehicle, and he is currently being held without bond. This follows a previous arrest made on April 25, 2023, when Elijiah Dewayne Gray, then 18 years old, was apprehended for the same fatal shooting.
