Three Minors Injured in Aggravated Assault on Moultrie Housing Authority Property

On Sunday, February 25, 2024, at approximately 4:20 p.m., the Moultrie Police Department reached out to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) for support in an aggravated assault case. The incident occurred on the premises of the Moultrie Housing Authority situated on 5th Street NW.

According to reports, a group of minors was gathered together when they were targeted by two assailants who initiated gunfire. The attack resulted in three minors sustaining injuries from the gunfire. Although their wounds were non-fatal, they required medical attention and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
