Shoplifting Incident Turns Violent at Gwinnett County Gas Station

The Gwinnett County Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two individuals involved in a shoplifting incident that took a dangerous turn.

On Monday, February 19, around 9:20 p.m., two men entered a convenience store gas station located at 4116 Lenora Church Road in unincorporated Snellville. Surveillance footage shows one of the suspects stuffing merchandise, primarily food items, into his hoodie pockets before both individuals exited the store.

Upon noticing the theft, a store employee followed the suspects outside and confronted them. The situation escalated when one of the suspects brandished a handgun, prompting the employee to retreat. The suspects then quickly fled the scene in a red passenger car.

Both suspects are described as black males, aged approximately between 20 to 25 years old. One was wearing grey jeans, a black hoodie, and a black face mask, while the other was sporting a hoodie featuring the Batman logo and black pants.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the identities or whereabouts of these individuals to contact GCPD detectives at 770.513.5300.
