Altercation Ends in Arrest After Shooting on Beechwood Blvd SW in Atlanta

On the early morning of February 27, 2024, Atlanta Police officers responded to reports of a shooting incident at 1687 Beechwood Blvd SW. Upon their arrival at approximately 1:29 am, they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim remained alert, conscious, and was breathing.

Immediate aid was provided to the victim, and they were transported to the hospital upon the arrival of Grady medical personnel for further treatment. The officers then proceeded to clear the residence and apprehended a male suspect who was still present at the scene.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the altercation leading to the shooting stemmed from a dispute, during which the suspect, identified as 62-year-old Victor Carter produced a firearm and shot the victim.

Carter was taken into custody and has been charged with Aggravated Assault along with two counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. He was transported without incident to the Fulton County Jail for further legal proceedings.
