Juvenile Arrested for Murder in Connection with Tri-Cities High School Homicide
The East Point Police Department has announced an arrest in connection with the homicide that occurred on February 9, 2024, following the Tri-Cities High School basketball game.
The victim, 15-year-old Mario Bailey, was fatally shot multiple times following the game. Bailey was one of two individuals injured during a series of fights at the basketball game between Tri-Cities High School and Benjamin Banneker High School.
The incident took place as spectators were leaving the venue. Bailey succumbed to his injuries after being transported to Grady Memorial Hospital.
The suspect, also a juvenile, has been charged with murder. Due to their age, the suspect’s identity is being withheld. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
