Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Public Assistance in Locating Missing 18-Year-Old
Missing: Luis Marco Hernandez

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is seeking public assistance in locating 18-year-old Luis Marco Hernandez, who went missing from his home in the 1200 block of North Plantation Parkway on December 19, 2023. Hernandez was last seen after an argument with his aunt regarding the home’s cleanliness, prompting him to leave without her knowledge.

Deputies conducted a search of the area, but Hernandez was not located. On December 20, 2023, deputies returned to the location to file a missing person report, as Hernandez had not returned home. His aunt noted that he left without his backpack. Hernandez was subsequently entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) as a missing person, and a “Be On the Lookout” (BOLO) alert was issued.

Further investigation revealed that Hernandez may have left with a bag containing some belongings, including a Glock 19 that his aunt mentioned he typically carries for protection. She emphasized that he is only considered a danger to himself, not others.

Hernandez is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing around 200 pounds. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing dark pants, a bright orange shirt, a dark jacket, and dark boots. Authorities urge anyone with information on Luis Marco Hernandez’s whereabouts to contact the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 or Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
