Deputies Arrest Suspect Linked to Houston Avenue Shooting in Macon

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit investigators recently apprehended a male suspect at a residence on Bloomfield Road. According to a report, the suspect was identified as the shooter in an aggravated assault that occurred on Houston Avenue.

A firearm found in the suspect’s home during a prior aggravated assault arrest earlier this year was tested using the National Integrated Ballistic Information Network (NIBIN). The test confirmed that it was the gun used in the Houston Avenue shooting. Deputies discovered the firearm while executing a search warrant on the property.

The suspect was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center without incident.
