Traffic Stop Leads to Major Drug Bust in Forsyth County with Assistance from K9 Officer

On May 28, 2024, a traffic stop was conducted for failure to maintain lane on Victor Correa Martinez. Due to recent history and prior knowledge that Victor was dealing narcotics within Forsyth County, Cpl. Escolano utilized his K9 partner, @fcsok9maverick, to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle.

K9 Maverick indicated a positive alert, leading to a probable cause search of the vehicle. Approximately 13.7 grams of MDMA were found hidden in the sunroof visor. Victor Correa Martinez and Valentina Arboleda Amariles were placed under arrest.

Shortly after, a search warrant was executed at Victor Correa Martinez’s residence in Forsyth County. During the search, deputies located approximately 30.3 grams of cocaine, which was separated into 31 baggies of approximately 1 gram each, approximately 202.2 grams of MDMA, 39 MDMA pills, 83 yellow Xanax bars (Alprazolam), 30 M30 blue pills (Oxycodone), 1 white Xanax bar (Alprazolam), approximately 2.2 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 98 tabs of LSD, 95 Adderall pills (dp 30), approximately 8.5 grams of marijuana, a THC edible, digital scales, marijuana grinders, marijuana pipes, packaging material, and $2,535 in US currency.

Victor and Valentina were taken to the Forsyth County Jail on charges of Trafficking Cocaine, Trafficking MDMA, Possession of Schedule IV with intent to distribute, Possession of Schedule II with intent to distribute (two counts), Possession of Schedule I with intent to distribute, Possession of methamphetamine, Possession of marijuana, Possession of Schedule I controlled substance, and possession of drug-related objects. They remain in the Forsyth County Jail with no bond status.
