Man Killed at Home in Lakeland, GBI Investigating

 At the request of the Lakeland Police Department, GBI agents are investigating the death of Timothy Hunt, age 27, of Naylor, Georgia. 

On Sunday, June 2, 2024, Hunt was shot and killed at a home on Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., Lakeland, Lanier County, Georgia.   

A GBI Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy.   

No arrests have been made at this time, but the investigation is active and ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Lakeland Police Department at (229) 482-3309 or the GBI Regional Investigative Office in Douglas at (912) 389-4103.
