Seeking Help: Woman Defrauds Grayson Bank of $350,000
The Electronic and Financial Crimes Unit is asking for public assistance in identifying a woman involved in defrauding a local bank of more than $350,000.
On January 19, 2024, an unidentified woman visited a bank located at 2437 Loganville Highway in Grayson. Using the identity of a Florida resident, she opened an account and deposited a stolen check exceeding $350,000.
Returning on February 1, the same individual withdrew the entire sum in cash. The victim, whose identity was misappropriated, initially reported the incident in Florida before the case was transferred to the Gwinnett County Police Department
