GBI Arrests Damascus Man in Blakely Party Shooting Case
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has arrested and charged Alphonso Alemayehu Thomas, aged 23, of Damascus, GA, with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Crime.
According to the investigation, on Saturday, April 13, 2024, around 11:20 p.m., officers from the Blakely Police Department responded to a report of gunshots at a party on Westview Drive in Blakely. Upon arrival, officers found a man with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital and later airlifted to a hospital in Alabama for further medical attention.
