74-Year-Old Macon Man Gets 10 Years in Prison for Child Molestation

MACON, Ga. – A 74-year-old Macon man has been sentenced to a decade in prison after pleading guilty to sexually abusing a girl when she was 6 years old, according to the Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office.
Frankie Williams pleaded guilty to one count of child molestation in Bibb County Superior Court.
The victim, who is now an adult, told authorities that Williams sexually abused her when she was a child. Williams later admitted his actions to law enforcement, according to the district attorney’s office.
A judge sentenced Williams to 10 years in prison followed by another 10 years on probation.
“It takes real courage to come forward about abuse that happened years ago, especially by someone you once trusted,” District Attorney Anita Howard said. “This survivor found that courage, and her family stood by her through the entire case.”
Howard thanked the victim and her family for their cooperation throughout the prosecution.
