Seven Arrested in Sandersville Drug Crackdown Targeting Cocaine Distribution

SANDERSVILLE, Ga. – Seven people have been arrested following a multi-agency operation targeting illegal drug distribution in Sandersville and Washington County, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

The arrests were the result of multiple drug investigations conducted by the Ocmulgee Drug Task Force, the GBI Middle Georgia Gang Task Force and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said the operation focused on disrupting cocaine trafficking and gang-related criminal activity in the area.

The following individuals were arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail:

Lenard Brown, 78, of Tennille, charged with three counts of sale of cocaine and one count of possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute.
Michael Cummings, 46, of Sandersville, charged with two counts of sale of cocaine, probation violation and obstructing law enforcement officers.
Quentavious Peacock, 34, of Sandersville, charged with two counts of sale of cocaine and probation violation.
Jamel Ritter, 34, of Sandersville, charged with one count of sale of cocaine.
Dan Sanders, 66, of Sandersville, charged with sale of cocaine, possession of cocaine, possession of drug-related objects and probation violation.
Antonio Swint, 45, of Tennille, charged with one count of sale of cocaine.
Uolande Wright, 49, of Tennille, charged with possession of cocaine.

The GBI said the investigation was intended to reduce drug distribution and gang activity while improving public safety throughout Sandersville and Washington County.

The operation was supported by the Georgia Department of Community Supervision, Georgia Department of Corrections, Georgia State Patrol, Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, Dublin Police Department, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
