Two Men Arrested on Murder Charges Following Grand Jury Indictments in Muscogee County
MUSCOGEE COUNTY, Georgia – Two men have been arrested on murder-related charges following a joint effort by law enforcement agencies in Georgia.
According to the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office, members of the agency’s Collaborative Intelligence Group located and arrested Markale Mickles on May 27 on a grand jury indictment warrant issued in Muscogee County.
Authorities said Mickles was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Muscogee County Jail.
Investigators also located Brandon Day, who was wanted on a separate grand jury indictment warrant. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office assisted in Day’s arrest in Henry County. He is expected to be extradited to Muscogee County to face charges.
Mickles was charged with:
- Felony Malice Murder
- Felony Murder
- Aggravated Assault
Day was charged with:
- Felony Murder
- Aggravated Assault (Three Counts)
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime
The sheriff’s office thanked Henry County Sheriff Reginald Scandrett and the Henry County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in locating and arresting Day.
Authorities have not released additional details about the homicide investigation that led to the indictments.
