Top 10 Fugitive Arrested in Connection to 2023 Atlanta Homicide

ATLANTA — A suspect listed among Atlanta’s most wanted fugitives has been taken into custody in connection with a 2023 fatal shooting, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

21-year-old Dion’Tre Stover was arrested April 30 with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and Clayton County SWAT.

Authorities said Stover was wanted for his alleged involvement in a homicide that occurred June 4, 2023, at 2065 Main Street NW.

Police originally responded to the scene around 5:45 a.m. that day after receiving reports of a person shot. Officers found a 26-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators determined the shooting stemmed from a dispute that escalated into gunfire. The Atlanta Police Department’s Homicide Unit led the investigation.

Stover had been listed as a Top Ten Most Wanted Fugitive prior to his arrest. Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances of his capture.

The case remains under investigation.
