MUSCOGEE COUNTY, Ga. — A traffic stop by deputies with the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the arrest of an Alabama man and the seizure of drugs and cash, according to authorities.

Deputies with the Uniform Patrol Services Bureau conducted the stop and, during a search of the vehicle, recovered 109 grams of marijuana, 90 oxycodone pills and $9,580 in U.S. currency.

Stephon Davis, of Pittsview, Alabama, was arrested without incident. He faces charges including trafficking of a controlled substance involving oxycodone, possession of marijuana with intent, driving while license suspended, improper lane change, no proof of insurance and drugs not in the original container.

Davis was transported to the Muscogee County Jail. Authorities said the investigation remains part of ongoing enforcement efforts.

“We won’t stop until the criminals do!,” promised Sheriff Greg Countryman.
