Manhunt in Newnan: Police Seek Suspect in Homicide

NEWNAN, Ga. — Detectives are searching for a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred late last month.

According to the Newnan Police Department, the homicide of Hunter Ross Williams happened around 11:23 p.m. on March 31, 2026. Following an ongoing investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants on April 3 for 35-year-old Justin Mardez Owens of Newnan.

Owens is wanted on charges of Felony Murder and Aggravated Assault. His whereabouts are currently unknown.
