Banks County Resident Charged with Multiple Counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children

COMMERCE, GA — A 34-year-old Commerce man was arrested and charged with the sexual exploitation of children following a five-month investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). Haminton Cuadros was taken into custody after authorities executed a search warrant at his Banks County home.

The GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes (CEACC) Unit initiated the investigation in November 2025 after receiving a Cyber Tipline Report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The report indicated that Cuadros was allegedly involved in the online possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

Investigation and Arrest

The GBI utilized digital forensics to track Cuadros’ online activity, eventually leading to a search of his residence. The operation was a collaborative effort involving:

  • Banks County Sheriff’s Office
  • Barrow County Sheriff’s Office
  • GBI Regional Investigative Office in Athens

Cuadros has been charged with three counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children. He was processed and booked into the Habersham County Jail.

The investigation remains active, and the GBI is currently reviewing electronic evidence seized during the search of the property.
