Four Teens Shot in Early Morning Shooting in Liberty County

MIDWAY, Georgia – The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left four teenagers injured early Sunday morning in Midway.

Deputies responded shortly after 12:30 a.m. on March 22, 2026, to an establishment in the 400 block of Bill Carter Road following reports of gunfire.

Authorities said four victims, all between the ages of 16 and 17, sustained gunshot wounds during the incident. They were transported for treatment to Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville and Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah.

Three of the victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries. One teen remains in critical condition after being shot in the chest. Other injuries reported include gunshot wounds to the foot, shoulder, and back.

While responding to Liberty Regional Medical Center, deputies located a vehicle in the parking lot with multiple bullet holes, a shattered passenger-side window, and a missing rear driver-side tire. Investigators have not yet confirmed whether the vehicle was used to transport any of the victims.

Authorities are actively working to identify those responsible and are following all available leads.
