Four Arrested After Armed Robbery of Amazon Driver in Macon
Macon, GA — Four suspects have been arrested following the armed robbery of an Amazon delivery driver Saturday morning in Bibb County.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded just after 10:30 a.m. to the 4200 block of Roy Avenue after receiving a report of a robbery involving a delivery driver.
Investigators said the driver was attempting to deliver a package and asked the intended recipient for a one-time passcode required to complete the delivery.
Authorities said the female recipient was unable to provide the passcode. While the driver attempted to resolve the issue, three additional individuals approached him.
One of the suspects allegedly pointed a firearm at the driver and demanded the package.
Officials said the suspects took the package and ran into the nearby home.
When deputies arrived, they obtained descriptions of the suspects and made contact with the homeowner. Deputies then detained all of the individuals inside the residence.
The firearm believed to have been used during the robbery was recovered.
The suspects were identified as Tiffini Pittman, 35, Aaminah Murphy, 18, Tyquavious Mason, 17, and a 16-year-old male juvenile (unidentified due to age).
The three adults were transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
Murphy and Mason were each charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault.
Pittman was charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, interference with government property and five counts of cruelty to children in the third degree.
The 16-year-old juvenile was charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, interference with government property, possession of a firearm by a minor and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
The juvenile was transported to the Regional Youth Detention Center.
