Woman Killed, Man Charged After Early Morning Domestic Shooting in Columbus

COLUMBUS, GA – A woman is dead and a man is facing murder charges following an early morning shooting on February 12th in the 4500 block of Gardiner Drive.

Officers responded to a shooting call and upon arrival found 28-year-old Lexus Antrum suffering from a gunshot wound. She was pronounced deceased at 4:50 a.m. A second victim, 22-year-old Kevawn Davenport, was also found with a gunshot wound and transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional for treatment.

Investigators quickly determined that Davenport was the suspect in the shooting. Authorities say the two were involved in a domestic dispute that escalated into gunfire.

Davenport has been charged with Murder and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime. He will be transported to the Muscogee County Jail upon his release from the hospital.

Lexus’ mom has set up a gofundme to help her children.
