Drug Trafficking Arrest After U.S. Marshals Chase Ends in Thomasville

THOMAS COUNTY, Georgia – On Tuesday, January 27, 2026, Thomas County Narcotics Agents and Thomas County Sheriff’s Office deputies assisted the United States Marshals Service with the arrest of a fugitive wanted out of Tallahassee, Florida.

Agents were attempting to stop a vehicle occupied by Tavoris Morris, with Davontae Clark of Tallahassee driving, when the vehicle fled toward Thomasville, Georgia. The pursuit ended when law enforcement boxed the vehicle in at a traffic light in Thomasville.

During the chase, surveillance teams observed a black backpack being thrown from the fleeing vehicle. Thomas County Narcotics Agents recovered the backpack and discovered a significant quantity of illegal narcotics inside, including approximately 16 ounces of Alpha-PVP, commonly known as “Molly,” and 8 ounces of cocaine. Investigators also recovered digital scales, packaging materials, and $2,642 in U.S. currency.

Both Morris and Clark were taken into custody and charged with Trafficking in Cocaine, Trafficking in a Schedule I Controlled Substance (Alpha-PVP), and Fleeing or Attempting to Elude law enforcement.
