GBI Arrests Madison Man Following Cyber Tip Investigation into Child Porn
MADISON, GA – A 22-year-old Morgan County man is facing a litany of serious charges following a Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) probe into the online exploitation of children.
RaShawn Sorrell Tomblin, of Madison, was booked into the Morgan County Jail on Saturday, January 10, 2026. On Tuesday, January 13, the GBI officially announced the charges against him, which include:
- Rape
- Child Molestation (2 counts)
- Sexual Exploitation of Children (6 counts)
The Investigation: From NCMEC to Arrest
The case originated earlier this month when the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes (CEACC) Unit received a “Cyber Tipline Report” from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
The federal report flagged suspicious online activity involving the possible production, possession, and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The investigation quickly shifted from digital monitoring to physical law enforcement action:
- Digital Tracking: The GBI Cyber Crime Center and CEACC Unit analyzed online data to trace the activity back to Madison, GA.
- Collaborative Raid: Local and state agencies, including the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office and the GBI Regional Investigative Office in Milledgeville, executed the warrants leading to Tomblin’s arrest.
This investigation is part of the ongoing effort by the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, housed within the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit, to identify those involved in the trade of child sexual abuse material. The ICAC Program, created by the US Department of Justice, was developed in response to the increasing number of children and teenagers using the internet, the proliferation of child sexual abuse material, and the heightened online activity by predators searching for unsupervised contact with underage victims.
Anyone with information about other cases of child exploitation is asked to contact the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Child Exploitation Unit at 404-270-8870 or report via the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children CyberTipline at Cybertipline.org.
