On December 17, 2024, a coordinated investigation by the Perry Police Department, Houston County Sheriff’s Office, and Walmart’s Global Investigations Division resulted in the arrest of three suspects involved in a multi-state theft ring targeting Walmart locations across the Southeast.

Christopher Simpson, 41, Peyton Foster, 26, and Jonathan Eubanks, 31, were apprehended in Houston County following a series of thefts that caused significant losses to multiple Walmart stores. Authorities believe the suspects are part of an organized group responsible for stealing high-value items from retailers across state lines.

During the arrests, law enforcement recovered approximately $30,000 worth of stolen merchandise, along with evidence linking the suspects to thefts at Walmart and other big-box retailers in several states. Investigators anticipate filing additional charges, including conspiracy and organized theft, as the case unfolds.

The suspects are currently being held at the Houston County Detention Facility, awaiting formal charges. Law enforcement agencies in neighboring states have been notified and are collaborating with the ongoing investigation.
