Carrollton Man Arrested Hours After Fatal Early Morning Shooting

On Monday, October 14, 2024, at approximately 2:30 AM, Carrollton Police officers responded to a shooting on 6th Street. Upon arrival, they found a 34-year-old male victim who had been shot and immediately began rendering aid. The victim, identified as Gregory Martez Patton of Carrollton, GA, was transported to Tanner Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.

The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Quantrevion Desean Caldwell, also of Carrollton, had an outstanding warrant for murder. Carrollton Police Department announced that Caldwell was taken into custody by 6:40 PM the same day.
